Cherry Launcher is an independent project without a paid code-signing certificate, which costs hundreds of dollars a year. Windows flags any unsigned app from a new publisher this way by default — it's not a sign of malware, just a lack of a certificate. Click "More Info" then "Run Anyway" to continue.
For vanilla survival worlds, 2–3 GB is usually enough. If you're running shaders, resource packs, or heavily modded instances, aim for 4–6 GB. Allocating more than half your system's total RAM can actually hurt performance, so Cherry's slider caps out at a safe limit for your machine automatically.
No. Cherry Launcher detects the Java runtime already on your PC and automatically matches the correct version to whichever Minecraft version you're launching. If nothing suitable is found, it fetches and sets up the right runtime for you — no manual downloads or PATH configuration needed.
